With 50 employees, bexio is the leading provider of web-based business software for small firms, freelancers and start-ups. More than 8,000 companies in Switzerland, Germany and Austria currently work with the business software provided by the Rapperswil-based company. The intuitive cloud-based software offers a diverse and integrated range of functions which range from accounting and order management to automated payment transactions, marking the end of time-consuming payroll accounting with endless Excel tables. In 2016 bexio was presented with the ‘Top 100 Startup’ award after being chosen as one of the best software start-ups from 100,000 new Swiss businesses.
Following a successful start-up and the establishment of a solid client base, it was time to develop the product portfolio and sustainably boost the visibility and growth of the young company. To ensure strategic development of the product roadmap and expansion into Germany and Austria, for example, bexio found itself confronted with new demands on its management team. It met these needs through new appointments in the fields of marketing (Chief Marketing Officer) and products (Chief Product Officer). In the partnership between bexio and CareerTeam, a strong emphasis was placed on finding candidates with a high degree of professional and technical expertise as well as the ability to oversee, understand and generally advise on all areas of a young and dynamic company. The second profile presented by CareerTeam led to the appointment of a CMO, while the sixth provided the CPO.
